I Got My Title!

On Tuesday I received the title of my book! Before I share it, let me say I am soooooo pleased that Harlequin Medical Romance has decided to ‘try something a bit different’ with my title.
And here it is: When One Night Isn’t Enough…

I absolutely love it!

As if a wonderful title isn’t enough, I was told my debut Medical Romance will be released first in the UK on 6/11/2011, as part of a 2in1 (two separate books bound together as one) paired with a book by none other than Janice Lynn! If you follow my blog regularly you know I am a HUGE fan of Janice Lynn, and her book Dr. Di Angelo’s Baby Bombshell is the reason I set to work converting my work in progress into a medical romance.

So what do you think about the title of my book? Are you disappointed it’s not more medical? Does it make you want to pick up a copy? I hope so!

You're right, it is different! Way cool, though. Congratulations! When will you get to see the cover?

Hi Wendy, Your title sounds like a winner. Very nice. My all time favorite title for one of my books was Her L.A. Knight, closely followed by In His Angel's Arms. Mostly they've been very traditional Medical Romance titles. So lucky you! Congratulations, and I can tell you're thrilled to be paired with Janice. I guess that's the icing on the cake, eh?

Congratulations and I'm glad you're pleased with the outcome!!

Great title, Wendy! I don't think it needs to sound medical since your cover will already say "a Harlequin Medical Romance". One of the really cool things about you writing this book is that the readers who love HQ Medical books buy every one that comes out. You have a built-in readership! I know I'm looking forward to reading it 🙂

A built in readership is great! But my goal is to get more US readers to sample the Medical Romance line of Harlequin. There's some good stuff there!

    Thanks, Calisa!
I am EXTREMELY pleased with the new title format as well!

Hi, Carol! Thanks! I hope when you read it, you enjoy it!

That is a GREAT title. It is so much better than so many of the usual titles. It's a good thing that I don't necessary choose a book by the title. If I did I would have missed out on a lot of really delightful books; however if there is an eye-catching title it will go in my cart. So kudos on winning the title lottery. And I big WOOT on having your book paired with an author you really admire. Enjoy!

Thanks, Joanna! I'll be sure to let you know when it's available. You crack me up!! Unhealthy titles?!! I don't know how medical romances will be titled in the future, but I think we can expect some changes. And I, for one, can't wait to see what the editors come up with!!!

I love the title, Wendy. I like that the titles are very different, more about the story than the characters since 'the big change'.

I'm glad to say I'll be reading your book waaaaaay before most people as I subscribe to the medical line so I get my books around 2 months earlier than they arrive in the shops 🙂

Late to the party, but I'm finally here!! Wendy!!!!!!!!! You made me blush! Lady, you are so sweet! Love that Dr Di Angelo's Baby Bombshell resonated with you, but even more so, I love that I'm gonna have another fab author to add to my automatic buy list!!!! And your title is FABULOUS!!! I think it fits perfectly with FLIRTING OUTRAGEOUSLY WITH THE SOCIETY DOCTOR, don't you???? I'm thrilled our books are gonna come out together. We'll have to put our Disney pictures on the bookmarks or something! LOL! 🙂

    Super congrats!

    Hi Shelly!
Thanks! I like that the title's spicy. (A few of the inside pages are, too!!!)

    Hi Joanne!
I agree. It's a very exciting time to write for, and read, Medical Romance! And yowza. You get your books two months before they officially come out? That means I have to start stressing in April? Yikes!

    Hi Janice!
I know how busy you are. So glad you could make it. Automatic buy list?? I like it!!! And I forgot about those Disney pictures. But since we're being edgy and spicy, maybe we should photoshop our faces onto some hot beach bunny bodies instead! Maybe put us with the likes of Channing Tatum (I posted his partially clad picture on the medical romance authors blog). And since I don't want to hog the planning, you can choose the other men we'll cozy up to in our picture!!!
