When does Australia get it, huh? When?! When?!

    Sulking now but easily distracted.

I like to buy things when I see them during the year so I can avoid the crazy Christmas Eve rush. Can you believe there’s only eight weeks until Christmas?

No shopping for me just yet.

    Hi Lacey!
Once a Good Girl will be available on the Mills & Boon Australia site in December and in stores in Aus in January.

Sorry to make you wait! (Good thing you’re easily distracted!!) I hate waiting, too! (Still waiting for my author copies.) But Catherine Coles has read it (subscription member) and she says it’s good and no typos! Personally, I think she likes the fact that she’s one of the few to have a copy!!!!!!

I like you too, Wendy, but I’m not on Facebook, LOL! If I were, I’d Like you all over again!
Congrats on book two being out. You’re going great guns now!
Now Lacey, Lacey, Lacey…. MUST you bring up that it’s only eight weeks until Christmas? Jeepers. “Like” I needed that reminder, LOL.
I shop throughout the year when I see something on sale, but I still do the majority of my shopping in Nov/Dec because tastes change or my family might buy those articles earlier in the year themselves, so no sense in me buying a duplicate to set aside (and then I can’t take it back because it was too long ago). Hope this makes sense.
We are having our family Christmas this weekend! We hold it in Nov every year on one of two weekends available when no one is working. I am usually asked to provide desserts, which is just fine with me. I prefer to get all the work done at home ahead of time (even though it takes many many hours), rather than cooking veggies or meat at the party and missing out on the visiting with others. We usually have close to 30 attend, including my MIL, her six kids, her grandkids, and her great grandkids.

    Thanks, Regina!
Once a Good Girl will be available in the U.S. on Harlequin.com in January and on Kindle/Nook/Sony e-readers in February. I hope you enjoy it!

    Hi Laney4!
Very funny! Thank you for liking me! (And for visiting my blog!) I like you right back!

When my children were little, I used to begin my holiday shopping over the summer. I celebrate Chanukah so that’s 8 presents each for three children and my husband. Well, you do the math. Better to spread the cost out over a few months! Plus, if you waited, all the “it” toys got sold out.

Now my children want big, expensive gifts. I allow one or two then fill in the rest of the nights with little trinkets.

And smart you for doing the desserts! My house is the party house – which is fine by me. But every time I host a big celebration, I spend most of my time in the kitchen. (Which is ironic, since I don’t spend much time in there usually!!!)

Hopefully the book will be here soon. As to shopping. I kind of do it by dribs and drabs all year. Some people laugh at this but since I do stockings for everyone in the family one grabs things when they find them.

    Hi Janet!
    My author copies finally arrived!

As far as shopping all year long, when my children were younger I used to do this. Not so much anymore, though. I get excited about having a gift for them and tend to give it to them before the holidays!
