Harlequin Medical Romance

I woke up to great news in the form of an e-mail from the pitch coordinator at Harlequin/Silhouette. A few weeks ago I submitted a two paragraph blurb on one of my completed manuscripts, and I’ve been chosen to do a pitch to an editor from Harlequin Medical Romance. The pitch takes place on Tuesday, March 23rd. I’ll let you know how it goes…..at least from my perspective.

For anyone with a completed manuscript geared toward Silhouette Special Edition, they have a pitch coming up in April. For more info. go to http://www.eharlequin.com/ In the middle of the page, under Talk, click on forums, then arrow down and click on The Write Stuff. Good luck.

On Thursday, 3/25/10, the Golden Heart finalists will be announced. Good luck to me to all who entered.

Next week has the potential to be wonderful, or a total bust.

Do you have any exciting things coming up? If so, please share them so we can cross our fingers (if necessary) for you, too!

Hi Wendy, thanks for your comments. Felt both physically sick and really excited this morning. But have decided to calm down and know I can always submit the old fashioned way if the pitch doesn't work out. But what an opportunity! Speak to you on Tuesday some time

Susan also won a pitch! Thanks for stopping by, Susan. I look forward to chatting on Tuesday!

Thanks, Terri. I appreciate the effort. I know how hard it is to type with your fingers crossed!

awesome, wendy!!! my fingers are crossed for you! I've got a few queries out, and one partial that I'm still waiting to hear about.

Those are hardly exciting unless I think about them…but I try to put them on the backburner and forget! LOL 😀

    Good luck.

Good luck with your pitch. Looking forward to a one day writers conference at William Patterson University in NJ. It's a fun day and only $50, which includes lunch. Went last year and it was great doing something non-romance related.

Thanks for the crossed fingers (and toes) and good luck wishes.

Sending positive vibes your way, Bethanne, that your queries will land on the desk of someone who appreciates your voice and story telling abilities.

It's okay to just cross your fingers, Dale. I'd feel terrible if you tripped and suffered an injury due to crossed toes.

Have fun at your writers conference, Liz, and a safe trip.
